Lex and Rich – Indianapolis Engagement Photography

Lex and Rich are good friends of mine. Lex is one of the first friends I made when I moved to Indy about 5 years ago and she is also the reason I met Drew (my significant other). So when they asked me to do their engagement pictures I couldn’t have been more excited.

Country Engagement Pictures – Angie & Matt

Meet Angie and Matt. These two were perfect together. They were fun and had a great sense of style. They are getting married in a barn and will have a lace and burlap themed wedding. So it was only appropriate that their engagement session match the country theme. Angie has been antique store shopping ever since she got engaged for prefect props for the wedding. She also brought a number of the props to her session!

Engagement Session at Holcomb Gardens | Indianapolis Photographer

Meet Katie and Nate. I had fun with these two at Holcomb Gardens in Indianapolis, IN. Their engagement session was on a slightly cold and overcast day in Indianapolis. But since the weather was a little bit less than ideal Holcomb Gardens was empty! I’m used to the park being crowded so it was a nice change to have the place all to ourselves. These two were also a blast to work with. They were naturals in front of the camera.

Downtown Indianapolis Engagement Photography Session

This was such a fun couple. The bride and groom to-be did their engagement session in Downtown Indianapolis. We did some pictures at the canal, some on the circle, and some pictures with the city in the background. The couple currently lives on the canal in the Downtown area which makes this the perfect location for them. Interestingly enough the couple is originally from New York City and the engagement session was a gift purchased for them by their siblings back home! I really enjoyed getting to know these two and I hope you enjoy their engagement pictures…

Shari and Andy are Engaged | Purdue University Engagement Photography

Meet the future Mr. and Mrs. Nelson. These two are good friends of mine from when I attended Purdue University. We were all RAs (Resident Assistants) together at Owen Hall. This is actually where the two of them met. So it was only appropriate that we do their engagement pictures at Purdue.

They plan to get married in August in Seattle, but they wanted some engagement pictures in their new home – Indianapolis! They chose a fun/funky location that totally matched their personalities. Melissa & Mitch – Indianapolis Winter Engagement Photography

Meet Melissa and Mitch! Working with these two was a blast! They had lots of energy and spirit despite the cold Indianapolis weather. If you ask me the cold weather was perfect as it allowed for the beautiful snow!

The Engagement Story of Kylee & Joey | Bloomington Engagement Photography

This session is one that I won’t forget for years to come and I’m sure Joey and Kylee won’t be forgetting it any time soon either!

This session was a little bit different than your typical engagement session. For this session I traveled to Bloomington to photograph the actual proposal. I’ve photographed actual proposals before, but never one where the bride knew who I was. I’m good friends with this couple, so if the bride saw me she would have known something was up! The groom and I carefully coordinated everything – timing, location, and even music. Everything went off without a hitch! It was a touching moment and I’m so glad I was there to capture it. They will have these pictures to remember this perfect moment for their entire lives. How precious is that!

After the proposal we took some engagement pictures…

How cute are these signs? This groom thought of everything… he purchased these signs on Etsy before he popped the question.

Not only did he pick out some fun signs but he also picked out a breathtaking ring…

After the engagement and engagement pictures there were still more surprises! Joey had arranged all their friends and family together to celebrate at a bar in Bloomington.

I think Kylee’s reaction here was priceless!

To top off the surprise, Kylee’s mom (who doesn’t live in the state) was hiding to surprise Kylee one more time.
