I don’t shoot many engagement sessions these days. I don’t shoot many weddings which means most people don’t hire me for engagement pictures. This adorable couple is from Indy, but they are getting married out of state. So they didn’t even care that I don’t shoot many weddings these days. They just liked my work so they hired me. And I’m so glad they did! They were the sweetest couple.
This session made me realize two things…
1 – I really do love shooting engagement sessions. They are much less crazy then shooting family sessions. Don’t get me wrong, I love the challenge of chasing two year old’s around, making poop jokes, and trying to relate to kids/teens/dads (no really, I DO love doing these things). However, it’s refreshing to shoot without all the crazy family dynamics going on. It’s a little more chill and relaxing and allows me to spend more time on the finer details.
2 – I need to shoot at Holiday Park more often! This location really is great and so I purchased a yearly pass to shoot here. If you want to have your family (or engagement) session done here I’m your girl! I’m kind of obsessed with this place!
