Booking Early Pays Off With Peak Fall Colors – Indianapolis Family Photographer

Booking early definitely pays off with the peak fall colors! It may seem a bit silly to book your session a little less than a year in advance, but it really is WORTH IT! You have plenty of time to coordinate outfits, clear your calendar, and prepare for your session! I adore seeing this family year after year and the girls are getting so big. This family just has so much love and affection between each other! The fall colors were on point for their session. They book early every year to ensure they get the best fall colors. I can’t always guess when the colors will be, but over the last 10 years I’ve gotten pretty good at it. They bring their nanny along since she is part of the family too- which I love! Their gallery ended up being huge – 120+ images- can you tell by the length of the post?!

Just perfect, simply perfect!

This mom says her Christmas gift to herself every year is a photo session – I love this! It is a beautiful way to see how much your family has grown and changed over the years and also get some updated photos around the house! I’ve been photographing this family for years and I adore seeing them each time! The girls aren’t little kids anymore. They had some awesome fall colors for their session! I also really love this location because there are a variety of backdrops. Gosh! I just love these photos and this family!!

Galyen Family – Indianapolis Family Photography

We played, we laughed, no one cried (yay!) and we took pictures! Such fun memories for everyone. I just love fall photos and the colors and the atmosphere! A Loving Family and a Lovely Sunrise – Carmel Indiana Family Photographer

When families love each other and love being together you can tell. These guys all genuinely wanted their pictures with each other, interacting with each other, and fighting (in a nice way) over who gets to hold the baby in each image.

This family is family goals for me. I hope my kids love each other this much some day.

This was a sunrise session – That fog is to die for! It was chilly and mom almost rescheduled, but I’m SO glad she didn’t because you don’t get this kind of light every day. There are so many images that I would frame and put up in my home! These pictures are STUNNING!!!!

A Fall Sunset Session in Carmel, Indiana

I’ve enjoyed photographing this family over the years. I missed them last year while I was on maternity leave and the kids grew a lot since I’ve seen them last. These guys are always fun and have lots of connection. It’s a joy to photograph. While these guys have done a number of sessions with me this is the first one they have done in the Fall, surprisingly!! No matter the time of year, I just love being with this beautiful family. We had the session at Central Park in Carmel and there are just so many different varies in backdrops- it is one of the reasons why I enjoy shooting at this location!!

Family Session with Senior Daughter – Indianapolis Photographer

I often get asked if I only photograph families with little kids? The answer is no. Case in point… this lovely family. Their older daughter was a graduating senior. So mom wanted some senior pictures along with her family session. What a great keepsake for both the daughter and the whole family. The weather was lovely and I love the colors that they chose for the session. The light in the background is just stunning and just accentuates this beautiful family!

A Walk in the Park – Carmel Indiana Family Photography

I just love photographing in the fall and this family made for the best time! This was an early fall sunset session and I am so thankful that we have had a stunningly warm and dry fall this year. I am so thankful for this because that is not always the case! This family is super sweet! The session was a little crazy due to the kids ages but it was so FUN! Let’s also talk about their outfits- great choices and everyone looked so put together! We took the photos at Central Park in Carmel and I love this location because of the variety of the backdrops. The picture with the three siblings holding hands walking together is my favorite – if it was of my kids I would blow it up on a huge canvas in my home. Family of Six at Fort Harrison State Park – Indianapolis Family Photographer

I’ve adored photographing this beautiful family over the years. These 4 girls are always such a joy. The two oldest girls are twins. I also enjoy seeing their bond and I maybe have gotten a few extra pictures of the two sisters together because they were too sweet not to capture. My smile was as big as theirs while I was shooting them. They wanted a more rustic setting this year for pictures so they chose Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis. It’s lovely this times of year. While we were out shooting the the tall grass we even saw a little fawn. That’s a first for me while shooting – so fun!

Falling Leaves and a Family Session – Indiana Family Photography

Fall has got to be one of my most favorite times of year- there are so many wonderful things to do as a family. Even though we had to alter some of the things that we did, I am thankful that we are still able to spend so much time outside. And the backdrop for the photos- simply stunning!

This was an early Fall session right as the leaves were starting to change and the weather was still warm. It’s the perfect time to play outside with littles and that is what we did during this family session – we played!

We were able to get a lot of great shots during this session and the photos really capture the love that is clear and evident within this family!

It was a beautiful night with a beautiful family! Thanks for allowing me to capture this time in your lives – 2020 face masks and all!

Wild One – Outdoor 1st Birthday Cake Smash Session

Before it got cold we were able to capture this sweet little guy’s 1st birthday outdoors. The session started with a quick outdoor family session followed by a pretty epic cake smash session. This cake smash session was themed The Wild One after the book series Where the Wild Things Are. I loved this book as a kid and I’m excited to see another generation of kids exposed to it as well. We had the perfect lighting and location for this rustic wild shoot and our little wild one year old rocked his cake smash session.
