This was by far the most emotional birth I’ve ever photographed. Zoey’s mom was amazing. She labored with baby Zoey for hours at home. When she got the the hospital she was already 8 cm (that means I had to get to the hospital QUICK!) and she had no idea. She continued to labor at the hospital and never had an epiderial. She was one strong mom.
This family had been praying for this baby for a long time. And the love and desire for this baby was apparent in the room. Zoey’s Dad, Grandma, and Aunt (birth coach) were all in the room for the delivery. These people, including the star of the show – Mom, made for an amazing birth team. This whole process was a joy to photograph.
