Meet little Willow. Willow is the brand new daughter to a good family friend of mine. I’ve known Willow’s mom since Kindergarten! She was my sister’s best friend growing up. I’m still in a little bit of shock that my little sister’s best friend is a mother! But let me tell you she is one beautiful mom and she has a just-as-beautiful daughter.
I’m so glad I was able to make it up to the region (NW corner of Indiana) to capture this little lady. She wasn’t a newborn anymore by the time I made it up to photograph her – she was already 6 weeks old. But we made the best of it and still got some great newborn-ish images. Willow did make me work for these pictures! I guess that is what I get for waiting so long to go see her.
I love it when they smile for me…
Here is that beautiful mom/family friend I was telling you about…
This one makes me giggle a little bit. I know a screaming baby isn’t funny, per say.
But Willow was not a happy camper for a good portion of her session and all you can do is laugh about it (don’t worry there was also lots of shushing, cuddling, feeding, and every other trick in my book).
Kristeen,
I love Willow’s photos! What an adorable baby! I too am starting photographing newborns and embellishing my nikon inventory. I live in the MA area. Would you mind letting me know what you use for your studio setups including pocket wizards, umbrellas, soft boxes, cameras lenses, etc.
Thanks so much and love your website.
Debbie
