What is an Indianapolis photography mini session?
Mini sessions take place on select dates and run back to back. Each session lasts about 20 minutes. The investment for 2026 mini sessions is $550. A past client discount of $50 still applies.
These sessions are ideal for families who want beautiful images in a shorter time frame. They work especially well for holiday cards or annual family photos. If you want more variety or flexibility, a full session is a better option.
I release booking information about 6 to 8 weeks before each session date. I do not release all mini sessions at once. Email subscribers receive first access. You can subscribe to the email list here.

Spring mini sessions – late April to early May
Spring mini sessions take place at parks in Carmel and Indianapolis. Expect fresh greenery and mild weather. These sessions are a great way to start the year with updated family photos.
Creek side mini sessions – July
These Indianapolis-area mini sessions are held at a Carmel park with a creek. Sunrise sessions are calm and quiet. Sunset sessions offer warm summer light.
Wildflower mini sessions – July and early August
These sessions take place at Dull’s Tree Farm in Thorntown, Indiana. This location is known for its wildflower fields. Access is limited, and these are some of the most requested mini sessions I offer as an Indianapolis family photographer.
Sunflower mini sessions – early to mid August
Sunflowers bloom for a short window each year. Dates depend on weather, so flexibility is key. These Indianapolis photography mini sessions are limited and tend to book very fast.
Fall mini sessions – September and October
Fall mini sessions are held at parks around Indianapolis and Carmel. If you have young children, September is often the best choice. Cooler temperatures come quickly later in the season.
Tree farm mini sessions – early November
These sessions also take place at Dull’s Tree Farm. They are perfect for holiday cards and end-of-year family photos. This is one of the most popular Indianapolis family photography mini sessions each year.
Need more time than a mini session?
If you want a more relaxed experience, consider a full family session. Full sessions last 60 minutes and offer flexible dates. You can choose a mini session location or select a place that is meaningful to your family.
