UPDATE: My studio has moved (don’t worry – not far). I’m now located in Carmel, Indiana. You can see more pictures of the new studio here.
So if you follow me on Facebook you know that I now have a studio (EEeek!). To say I’m excited would be an understatement. Having a studio has always been a dream of mine and it has finally happened!
The studio has actually been up and running for over two months now and I’ve had a number of sessions in it. I’ve finally taken a few minutes to take a few pictures of it to share with you.
My studio is located in the Carmel/Westfield area. It’s an in-home studio. The studio has a private entrance so no matter how messy my home is my clients have no idea. 🙂
It’s not huge, but it’s prefect for me. It’s PERFECT for newborns and all my first year grow with me milestone sessions (including cake smash sessions). It’s also great for maternity sessions when it’s too cold to do them outside. If you have done a newborn session with me before I had a studio you know that I would lug all of my stuff (giant beanbag, lights, buckets/props, heater, backdrops, and so much more) to your home. Having the studio makes things so much easier for both myself and my clients (having a photographer come to your home sounds like a good idea, but unless it’s a lifestyle session it’s really much more complicated than it sounds).
Anyways… here is the shooting room. I’ve got beautiful natural light during the day and studio light for the evening sessions.
The above pictures I took before I had these beautiful wood backdrops installed in the studio. They are reversible – cream and brown. I’m pretty much in love with them.
I’ve also got lots of storage which is good because I’ve got lots of props and backdrops!
There is a restroom attached to the shooting space as well.
No newborn photography studio would be complete without lots of hair pretties. And this is only a fraction of them.
Sitting space and canvas prints. While the studio space is great for the little kiddos, it’s also a great place to meet with my future brides-to-be.
And last but not least, here are a few pictures of me working in the studio.
Can you tell I’m in my happy place when I’m working with the little ones?
I’m in love with this space. I hope you will be too.
The new studio is conveniently located on the north side of Indianapolis in the Carleml/Westfield area.
So if you are looking for a Westfield Indiana Photographer just let me know. I would love to introduce you to my new studio.
I really like your web page! This is EXCATLY what I dream of doing also. I’m currently studing photography at The Art Institute of Indianapolis and would love to come to your studio and learn from you! Just reading your page gave me inspiration it’s so exciting to see people achieve what I also want to do.
I really love and appreciate your page. I have a studio in my home and I was at a lost on how to fix it up. I got feed up and starting doing on locations shoots only and now my “studio” is turning into a closet. But since finding your page you have inspired me to move forward with my in home studio. could you please tell me where you got the wood backdrop? I have been looking high and low for something like it
I had the backdrop custom built by a contractor. Hope that helps!
