This session feels like pure magic. But honestly… that’s always the goal.
As an Indianapolis photographer, I want every session to feel easy, pulled together, and just a little extra special from the start.
About three weeks before your cake smash, I ask for one simple thing. Send me a photo of what your little one is wearing. If you have a theme in mind, send that too.
And then I take it from there.
That’s when the magic happens on my end.
I start pulling colors. I build the set. I plan the cake. I make sure every little detail works together before you ever walk into the studio.
This sweet girl’s session started with one idea. A bright, colorful, rainbow unicorn theme.
From there, I created everything around her.
The backdrop. The textures. The cake. Even the small details that pull it all together.
Mom didn’t have to figure out a single thing.
She just showed up.
And then we let her baby do the rest.
The smiles. The messy hands. The little bites of cake. It all comes together so easily when everything is already in place.
As an Indianapolis newborn photographer, I spend so much time with families during those early days. And getting to see them again at one year is always something I look forward to.
Because this stage? It’s full of personality.
And sessions like this let that shine.
You bring your baby. I handle the rest. And somewhere in the middle of it all, we create something that feels a little extra special.
A little messy. A little colorful. And just the right amount of magic.
