You guys – I love shooting in my studio but I also have a new love… shooting newborns outdoors! I’ve shot a handful of outdoor newborn sessions before COVID came to town but I’ve fallen in love with these sessions all over again. These sessions are a great option if you want a low contact session (I don’t even have to touch the baby and I’m 6 feet away!). I’m also happy to wear a mask on top of that if it makes you feel more comfortable.
But seriously how stunning is this family with their new baby girl! So stunning. I’ve been photographing this sweet family for years and it’s only fitting that I photograph them with their newest addition. The baby isn’t within that 14 day new baby window but with these outdoor sessions it doesn’t even matter. In fact I think that the pictures are made even better by the fact that the baby is older. Look at that eye contact! You don’t get that from at 2-week-old.
Anyways, maybe I’m just on a high from being able to photograph babies again. But I’m obsessed. Bring me all those newborns (old newborns or young newborns) and let’s shoot them outside at sunrise (like this session) or sunset!
It is possible to get newborn pictures while social distancing during this crazy time that is COVID quarantine. I would love to photograph your newborn if you live near Indianapolis. Let me know if you are looking for an Indianapolis newborn photographer and we can chat about your options for photography during this crazy time.
