I’ve been photographing this sweet family for nearly 10 years. As a Carmel, Indiana family photographer, I’ve taken their photos in just about every favorite spot I normally recommend.
This year, they had a different idea—let’s shoot at home.
We stayed outside, using the green spaces around their home in Carmel. They live in a beautiful neighborhood with mature trees, wide lawns, and peaceful walking paths. It was the perfect setting.
We also planned this session around something special—their peonies. These flowers were passed down through generations and planted out front. They only bloom for a short window, and we hit peak bloom.
Add golden hour light, and this session quickly became one of my favorites with this family.
The setting wasn’t just beautiful—it mattered. It’s where their life happens. Their kids run barefoot here. They ride bikes on this street. These blooms are part of their story.
