This cake smash session was a completely new theme for me and I’m digging it. We did all white balloons and backdrop with a little bit of green floral. You know I love adding flowers and greenery into my newborn pictures so it’s no surprise that I enjoy adding it into cake smash sessions too.
For this session we did one large floating balloon. I don’t think the pictures really convey how big this balloon really was. When my son saw it (as I was setting up for the cake smash session) he lost his mind and he HAD to have the giant balloon. Much to his dismay I made him wait until after the session. It was super fun to see the awe he had towards the giant balloon though.
I’ve been photographing little Mateo since he was born, so it’s bittersweet to see him turn one. I was super excited to do his cake smash but I’m sad I won’t still be seeing him and his family every few months.
