I recently had the pleasure of photographing a sweet little girl with the most gorgeous, long, curly black hair. This newborn session was extra special because she had two very excited big brothers who were thrilled to be a part of it. Watching them interact with their new sister was heartwarming! You could feel the love they already had for her.
Mom and dad were just glowing as they watched their boys dote on their new addition. They were so proud of their growing family. The big brothers loved holding their sister and even gave her little kisses during the session. It was one of those moments that reminds me why I love photographing families—it’s the small, genuine interactions that really shine.
Newborns are always a joy to capture, but when siblings are involved, the energy is so much fun! This session was filled with lots of snuggles, kisses, and plenty of laughter. It’s always amazing to capture the first few weeks when everyone is still getting to know each other. The love and excitement in the air made it such a memorable session.
We also had an energetic surprise guest at the session—the family’s pit bull pup! This sweet dog had tons of energy but was full of love. He was so curious about the new baby and kept wanting to be close to her. While getting the baby and dog in the same frame was a bit of a challenge, we made it happen with a little Photoshop magic. The end result? Some heart-melting images of the pup calmly looking at his new baby sister. It’s always fun to include pets in sessions, especially when they’re as loving as this one!
I’m thrilled to have been a part of this beautiful family’s journey, and I can’t wait to watch them grow together!
This session was a perfect example of why I love being an Indianapolis newborn photographer. Capturing the connection between siblings, parents, and even the family dog made for such meaningful and fun moments. Every family has its own dynamic, and it’s a joy to freeze these moments in time. If you’re looking to capture your family’s newest addition in a way that reflects your unique story, I’d love to help!
