There is something special about photographing a family as it grows.
This family joined me at Ann-Marie’s Flower Farm in Zionsville for a colorful summer maternity session. The flowers were beautiful, and the evening light was perfect.
I photographed their older daughter throughout her first year. Now, they are preparing to welcome another little one.
They booked another Grow With Me package. So, I get to photograph their newest baby throughout the next year, too.
I am excited to watch this little one grow, just as I did with their daughter.
Maternity Photos With a Toddler
Parents sometimes worry about including a toddler in maternity pictures. However, young children do not need to cooperate perfectly.
During this session, their daughter explored the flowers, danced with Dad, and cuddled close to Mom. She also reached for Mom’s growing belly.
Those natural moments added so much personality to their gallery.
I still captured the traditional family portraits. However, some of my favorite images came from letting her move and play.
A Flower Farm Maternity Session
Ann-Marie’s Flower Farm offers so much variety in one location.
We photographed among the sunflowers, daisies, and colorful wildflowers. Each area gave the gallery a slightly different look.
The farm also gave their daughter plenty of room to explore. This helped the session stay relaxed and fun.
As the sun began to set, golden light filtered through the trees and flowers. It was a beautiful setting for their maternity photos.
Documenting the Family Before Baby Arrives
A maternity session celebrates the new baby. However, it also documents the family before everything changes again.
I photographed Mom alone, the parents together, and the full family.
Their daughter will soon become a big sister. These pictures preserve this short season when she was still their only child.

Grow With Me Photography Packages
Grow With Me packages allow families to combine several sessions. Packages can include maternity, newborn, milestone, and first birthday photography.
Photographing the same family throughout the year helps everyone become comfortable with the process. It also creates a consistent collection of images as the baby grows.
This family completed a Grow With Me package with their older daughter. Now, I get to document another first year with them.
