This newborn session was extra special because this sweet baby boy belongs to my cousin.
I photographed his mom during her maternity session before he arrived. Now, I had the honor of photographing their first days as a family.
You can see her maternity session here.
Their newborn gallery included sleepy poses, awake expressions, family portraits, and plenty of tiny details. We used deep green, warm wood, soft cream, and simple white setups.
This gallery is also a great example of what clients receive during my full studio newborn sessions.
My Newborn Sessions Are All-Inclusive
One of the biggest differences between photographers is how their session pricing works.
Some photographers charge a session fee that includes only a small number of images. Clients may then purchase additional images or the full gallery afterward.
My full newborn sessions work differently.
The session price includes your complete edited gallery. You will not need to choose a few favorites or pay more after seeing your images.
I want my pricing to be clear from the beginning. You should know what you are receiving before you book.
You can find complete information about my Indianapolis newborn photography sessions here.
Your Complete Edited Gallery
A full studio newborn session includes at least 50 edited digital images. However, many galleries include more.
Your gallery may include:
- Wrapped newborn portraits
- Carefully posed baby pictures
- Awake expressions
- Close-up detail images
- Parent and baby portraits
- Full family pictures
- Black-and-white images
- Several different setups
You will receive every final image I select and edit.
There are no required image upgrades. There is also no ordering appointment or additional digital-image fee.
Your high-resolution images are delivered through an online gallery. You will also receive printing rights.
A Session Designed Around Your Preferences
Before your session, I ask about your preferred colors and styles.
Some parents love earthy colors, wood textures, and deeper tones. Others prefer white, cream, and simple neutral setups.
This baby’s gallery included both.
We started with rich green wraps and my dark wood backdrop. Then, we moved into softer cream and white setups.
The finished gallery has plenty of variety. However, the images still look consistent when displayed together.
I have a large collection of newborn wraps, outfits, blankets, bonnets, baskets, and props. You do not need to purchase anything for your baby.
I select each item based on your preferences and your baby’s size.
My Newborn Experience Is Included
You are not only paying for the time spent taking pictures.
You are also hiring me for my experience with newborn safety, posing, soothing, and photography.
I have photographed babies for more than a decade. I know every newborn session will be different.
Some babies sleep through nearly everything. Others need more time, feeding breaks, or extra snuggles.
Both are completely normal.
I know how to adjust poses based on your baby’s comfort. I also know when to wrap a baby, change a setup, or take a break.
That experience helps keep your session calm and safe.
A Baby-Led Session Without Rushing
Full newborn sessions typically last between 1.5 and three hours.
However, I do not watch the clock while your baby needs to eat or settle.
Newborns are unpredictable. Trying to rush them usually makes the session harder for everyone.
Instead, I follow your baby’s cues.
We pause for feeding, changing, and comforting whenever needed. Parents can relax while I handle the rest.
This slower pace allows me to create more variety without placing unnecessary pressure on your baby.
Pictures With Parents Are Included
Full studio newborn sessions include pictures with parents and siblings.
You do not need to book another session for family pictures.
I know many new parents hesitate to step in front of the camera. You may be tired and still recovering.
However, these are often some of the most important images in the gallery.
I guide your posing and tell you exactly where to stand. I also help position your hands and baby safely.
You do not need to know what to do.
Professional Editing and Fast Delivery
Every final image is carefully edited before delivery.
I check colors, skin tones, cropping, and small distractions. I also create black-and-white versions of selected images.
Your finished gallery will be delivered within two weeks.
You can download your images, share them with family, and begin printing immediately.

New parents already have enough decisions to make.
Your newborn photography should not come with confusing pricing or unexpected costs.
