I photographed this sweet family a few years ago when their oldest arrived. She was tiny, quiet, and full of charm. Now she is almost three and walked into the studio full of energy. I loved seeing that shift. It always hits me when I get to document the same family again. I see the changes right away. And I get to watch their bond grow.
This time they came in with their second baby girl. She slept hard and settled right in. It made the flow easy. I started with sibling images because toddlers run the show. Quick moments work best at this age. A short window is all I need to get a soft smile or a sweet glance. Then the toddler gets a break and I move on to the rest of the family.
Next, I focused on baby alone. Simple poses. Soft colors. Clean light. That style lines up with what most of my families book me for. It keeps the attention on the baby. It also gives parents a set of images that age well year after year.
If you are expecting your second or third baby, reach out early. I only take a limited number of newborns each month so I can give every family the time they need in the studio. I would love to document your growing crew.
Working with this family again was a gift. I love seeing kids grow and watching parents settle into life with a new baby. Sessions like this remind me why I do what I do. If you are searching for an Indianapolis newborn photographer, reach out. I keep my calendar limited so I can give each family the time and care they need. I would be honored to document your new little one.
