Fall in Indianapolis shows off for a short time every year. These images are from a recent fall family session in the Indianapolis area.
The leaves were at peak color. The trees were bold and bright. Every direction I turned, the backdrop looked amazing. You really can’t beat these colors for family photography.
As an Indianapolis family photographer, this is one of my favorite times of year to work outdoors. The light is soft. The air is cooler. And the rich fall tones photograph so well with layered outfits and cozy textures.
Fall dates always go fast. Once the color hits, we are already deep into the season. If you know you want these bright fall tones next year, it helps to plan ahead. I typically open booking for family sessions in February. It’s best to book that early if you want peak color like this session!
