I shoot a lot of mini sessions at the creek. And don’t get me wrong—I love them. They’re quick, fun, and perfect for updated family pictures.
But sometimes, it’s refreshing to slow things down.
This full family creekside session gave us the time to do just that.
Instead of rushing from pose to pose, I got to help this sweet family relax. We explored. We played. And I got to capture real emotions—not just quick smiles.
Their little girl? She came in with big emotions (as toddlers do!). But with time and patience, she opened up. By the end, she was splashing, giggling, and being her true self.
This is why I love being an Indianapolis family photographer. Sessions like this one are such a good reminder—photos don’t have to be perfect. They just need to be honest.
If you’re thinking about doing Indianapolis creek photography, a full session may be just what your family needs. There’s room for breaks, play, and personality.
Let’s plan something that lets your family breathe a little.
