I love photographing newborns. Every family is different. Every session tells its own story.
For many Indian families, tradition is a big part of that story. From the colors to the clothing to the customs, these details matter. I understand that, and I’m here to make sure they’re included in your baby’s first portraits.
Timing Your Session
Some families prefer not to take their newborn out right away. This might be for cultural or religious reasons.
While I recommend photographing babies in the first two weeks, I can still create beautiful images at any age. We can work together to find the right timing for your family.
Who’s in the Session
My newborn sessions are focused on the baby, parents, and siblings. This keeps things calm and allows me to focus on your little one.
If you would like photos with grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins, we can book a separate family session. That way, your newborn session stays peaceful, and you still get those important extended family portraits.
Incorporating Traditions
Many families like to bring meaningful items. This might be a saree from a grandmother, a religious statue, or a family heirloom.
You are welcome to bring these to your session. They make your images unique and help tell your family’s story.
Colors and Clothing
I know many Indian families love vibrant colors—reds, blues, golds, and more.
I have wraps and props in many shades. You can also bring special fabrics or outfits from home. We’ll make sure your photos reflect your style.
Special Celebrations
Naming ceremonies, blessings, and other traditions are important milestones.
You can book a milestone or family session before or after these events.
Booking Early
I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month. Booking early ensures I’ll have a spot for you once your baby arrives. If you live in the Indianapolis area I would love to be your Indianapolis newborn photographer no matter what culture or background is.
I’d love to create newborn photos that honor your culture and celebrate your family.
