If you’re expecting twins and wondering when to book newborn photos, my answer is simple: book your session before your babies are born, and we’ll schedule the actual day after they arrive.
You don’t need to predict their birthday or know exactly when everyone will be home. Booking during pregnancy gives us a starting point, with room to work around your babies’ arrival.

Reserve Your Session During Pregnancy
There are plenty of unknowns when you’re preparing to welcome two babies. Your newborn photography date can stay flexible.
Reach out while you’re expecting to reserve your session. Once your babies are here, email me with an update and let me know how everyone is doing. From there, we’ll talk about scheduling and what feels possible for your family.

What If Your Twins Spend Time in the NICU?
Some twins need time in the NICU before coming home. If that’s your situation, simply keep me updated. You don’t need to have a discharge date or a firm plan before you get in touch.
Let me know that your babies have arrived and share where things stand. We can take the next step together as you know more.
I want photography to be something you look forward to, without adding pressure to an already full season of life.

Do Twin Newborn Photos Have to Happen Within the First 14 Days?
I love welcoming babies into the studio within their first 14 days. But with twins, that timing isn’t always possible—and that’s okay.
Passing the two-week mark does not mean you’ve missed your chance for beautiful photographs.
We’ll work with your babies as they are on the day of their session. Their age and comfort will help guide what we do, and the finished photographs will capture this part of their story.
There is so much to remember: their tiny toes, their individual features, and what they look like nestled beside each other. Those details still matter when the calendar doesn’t follow the original plan.

Two Babies, Together and Individually
This recent twin newborn session included portraits of the babies together, individual photographs, and close-up details.

Soft blue and blush wraps gave way to warm brown and cream tones, with cozy knit outfits adding another look to the gallery. I love how the photographs make room for each baby individually while also capturing them side by side.

That’s what I want families to take away from their session: photographs of both babies that they’ll love returning to, whatever age the babies are when we meet.
