When preparing for your newborn photography session, the last thing you should stress about is what to wear. My advice? Go neutral. It’s a simple choice that can make a huge impact. Here are a few reasons why I like the neutral approach:

When a new baby arrives, it’s a big change for everyone, including older siblings. Teens and pre-teens often have mixed feelings about having a newborn in the house. They might be excited or a little hesitant. Some might want to hold the baby all day, while others might feel a bit distant or unsure. Both reactions are completely normal, and understanding these differences is key to a successful newborn photo session.

But that’s not all! Mom is a huge Halloween fan, so we couldn’t resist adding in some Fall and Halloween-themed shots. Pumpkins, spiders, bats, and all the cozy Fall feels made these moments extra special. It was the perfect blend of whimsy and seasonal fun.

I met these twin girls’ parents for the first time at their maternity session. But it feels like I have known them forever. They are the sweetest, most loving, and doting parents you could ever meet. These twin girls were very wanted, despite being a big surprise. Now, they are so loved.

Big families bring a different energy. The studio buzzes with excitement and fun. There’s always someone with a something going on. Coordinating everyone can be a bit of a puzzle, but that’s part of the fun. The result is always worth it—a beautiful, dynamic portrait that showcases each member’s place in the family.

This amazing family has been trying to grow their family for years via adoption. They finally got their placement and only had a few hours’ notice. Can you imagine?! I couldn’t be more excited for them on this journey into parenthood of two kiddos.
