In those early days, babies are naturally sleepy and love being swaddled up, making it the perfect time for those adorable, squishy poses. Their flexibility and sleepiness allow for those cozy, curled-up positions we all adore. The images in this post are all from a baby who was 10 days old. These moments pass quickly, and these photos are a wonderful way to capture them forever.

I only schedule 7-10 newborns per month. This allows me to give each family the time and attention they deserve. However, because of this, my calendar fills up quickly. If you wait until after baby is born to book, you may miss your spot. If you baby is here, it never hurts to reach out and ask if I have any openings, but it’s best to book before baby arrives!

Zionsville has a charming brick-paved Main Street. It’s one of the few remaining in the country and perfect for a leisurely stroll. There are great shops and it’s the perfect urban setting for family pictures! Just tell them what occasion you are looking for in terms of an outfit and they will find you the perfect thing.

But that’s not all! Mom is a huge Halloween fan, so we couldn’t resist adding in some Fall and Halloween-themed shots. Pumpkins, spiders, bats, and all the cozy Fall feels made these moments extra special. It was the perfect blend of whimsy and seasonal fun.

Coordinating everyone can be a bit of a puzzle, but that’s part of the fun. The result is always worth it—a beautiful, dynamic portrait that showcases each member’s place in the family.

This amazing family has been trying to grow their family for years via adoption. They finally got their placement and only had a few hours’ notice. Can you imagine?! I couldn’t be more excited for them on this journey into parenthood of two kiddos.

There were so many tender moments between everyone in this session. Mom and big sister’s relationship was one of my favorites to capture.
